摘要：We give an introduction to importance measures in reliability, especially the widely-used Birnbaum importance and joint reliability importance. The Birnbaum importance evaluates the relative contribution of a component to system reliability. We discuss the relations of other importance measures to the Birnbaum importance and the patterns of the Birnbaum importance for linear consecutive-k-out-of-n systems when all components have the same reliability p. Then, we present the heuristics such as the generic algorithm in conjunction of the Birnbaum importance for addressing the component assignment problem, which concerns the problem of finding the optimal arrangement of n available components in the n positions of a system so that the system reliability is maximized. The joint reliability importance of two components evaluates the interaction effect between the components on contributing to system reliability. For the joint reliability importance, we present its applications in consecutive-k-out-of-n:F system, an m-consecutive-k-out-of-n:F system, and a consecutive-k-within-m-out-of-n:F system for Markov-dependent components.  

个人简介：朱晓燕教授为中国科学院大学管理学院教授，博士生导师，管理学院中国工商管理中心副主任。本科毕业于清华大学，博士毕业于美国Texas A&M University, College Station。加入国科大前，在美国田纳西大学工业与系统工程系任教多年。专注于可靠性优化和物流供应链库存管理。已发表SCI论文20多篇，并获得2012年国际工业工程学会（IIE）质量控制与可靠性最优论文奖。2012年国际著名出版社John Wiley & Sons出版了由其合著的科研著作《Importance Measures in Reliability, Risk, and Optimization: Principles and Applications》。现已培养毕业博士生三名、硕士生一名。朱教授是国际工业工程学会（IIE）的资深会员，还是国际运筹学和管理学会（INFORMS）、国际电机电子工程学会 (IEEE)、和美国工程教育学会 (ASEE)的会员。曾为多种国际期刊，国际会议和项目申请机构担任论文或项目评审。
