【报告摘要】 System reliability has always been of great importance for complex system.  Although research has been going on for decades, there are many new issues and challenges as technology is developing rapidly and systems have become more complex and dynamic. In this talk, we will review the history of reliability research from a personal perspective, and discuss some current and future research issues, especially regarding systems that incorporate artificial intelligence and machine learning approaches. It will argue that a system engineering approach, together with statistical thinking, will help make better use of data in a more efficient way, especially for different real-world applications.
