在北京大学获学士和硕士学位，在中科院系统科学研究所获博士学位。国家数学与交叉科学中心信息交叉部主任。中国人工智能学会首批会士、自动化学会控制理论专委会主任、系统工程学会副秘书长、数学会常务理事等。现（曾）任Control Theory & Technology主编、《自动化学报》副主编、IEEE Trans. Automatic Control、IEEE Control Systems Magazine、IEEE Trans. Control of Network Systems等编委。曾获中国控制会议关肇直奖、国际自控联合会(IFAC)世界大会的青年作者奖、 中科院青年科学家奖、中国青年科技奖、国家自然科学二等奖。
